Stainless Steel Suspended Central Drive Sludge Scraper for Municipal Sewage Treatment
This centrally-driven suspended sludge scraper is primarily designed for circular sedimentation tanks in municipal wastewater treatment plants. Its core function is to collect settled sludge from the tank floor and direct it to a central sump for subsequent processes like return pumping, thickening, or dewatering. Simultaneously, it removes floating scum from the water surface, channeling it into a scum hopper for discharge and further treatment.
Working Principle
Powered by an electric drive unit, the central drive slowly rotates the suspended scraper assembly. Attached scrapers efficiently move settled sludge towards the central sludge sump. To enhance thickening, the scraper arms gently rotate a set of picket fences (thickening grid bars). This slow stirring action creates channels within the sludge, facilitating water release and improving dewatering and compaction.
